People magazine’s been picking them since 1985, when a much prettier and less controversial Mel Gibson was named Sexiest Man Alive. That’s some honor. Many worthy (and a few not so worthy) Hollywood hunks have followed in Mel’s footsteps, including Ford, Depp, Clooney, Connery, and Nolte (we said some were more worthy than others). No matter what your taste, at some point in the history of the “award” there’s bound to have been a sexy man that suits you. But does your favorite hold up?
